Well worth the drive outside if DC.
Great place in Maryland for hiking, my favorite thing to do here is hike and find a quiet place by the river to reflect and meditate during the fall season. The beautiful auburn colors of the trees mixed with the colorful sunset is hard to beat.
#TroveOn #hiking at the closest national park for an outdoor experience in DC.

Great Falls National Park is only about a half an hour away from the city so it's close enough for a good city escape. It has multiple trails from easy to difficult. It's a pretty established park with directional signs. Two trails for one way took about 1h30m and they are about 1.5 miles. There are three over lookouts for the falls. Every lookout gives a different vibe of the falls that starts of the Potomac River.
