"This place has a distinct "hostel" vibe, and a primarily 20-something clientele. As a middle-aged person I felt a bit out of place. However, it's clean, the staff are professional and friendly, and the facilities are cute. Great breakfast and bar, too! Be aware that some of the pods (odd numbers) are accessed via a small ladder, like a bunk bed. I am a spry 50-year-old, but I have to admit it was a bit tricky to get in and out. There is also only a curtain to provide privacy. I was concerned about safety (I move a lot when I sleep) so if that's you as well, I suggest requesting a bottom pod. (I actually asked to be moved, and they put me in a private room
for the second night, for no charge.) The place is a goo 10-minute walk to the ferry (a free 2-minute ride to the train station/central Amsterdam.) It's a bit annoying with a suitcase, but ok. It's also a 10-minute walk to bus and tram stations, which get you to central Amsterdam without going on the ferry. Overall: a great option for a very cheap place to stay: great value if you are looking to spend as little money as possible yet get a clean and modern hotel."

"The staff there was uber nice and accommodating. They total focused on the customer experience. My college kids enjoyed the gym and I appreciate the bubbly water offered. The refrigerator was not a frig but just a cooler so that could be improved. Modern design and great use of space and eco friendly hotel. Bike rental was good though we had bad luck and had a flat tire. The hotel manager was sympathetic and made an adjustment to one day’s rental for that one bike when we checked out, which was not prompted by us- we appreciated it. We recommend and will stay again when we make it back to Amsterdam. "
"Great location, supermarket and train station right outside. 15 minutes journey into Amsterdam central and very easy to buy tickets and work out platforms etc. spacious room with nespresso machine, small fridge and safe. "

"We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer, everything was really easy. Only took a train and a bus to get there from centraal station. Really comfy beds good air conditioning and bathroom. Charger port right next to the bed "
"Upgrade was lovely. Location at the Amsterdam Noord station was great but hotel needed some more signage as we went the wrong way out of the station! It was fine as there was a food shop at the station so we asked directions and it was a 2min walk.
Staff were lovely. Food court next door was great. Convenience store across the road had snacks and drinks.
Centraal Station 3 stops away. Metro very easy to use.
Got an I Amsterdam card to use in museums/galleries and transport. Great trip."

"The hotel is right next to the Zaandam train station and only 2 stops away from Amsterdam Central. If you are looking for a clean hotel, right next to shopping and dining and outside the busy city nights, this place is great.
There is a shopping strip right near the hotel, with bars and dining options a 5 minute walk away. They have bicycles for use and getting back and forth from Amsterdam was a 11 minute train ride. We really liked the ability to unwind at night in quiet, but having easy access to the city and all of the canals, tours and attractions. "
