"There are not many shops or restaurants around but that is offset by the way access to mitsumata ropeway across the road. So be prepared and bring some food from Yuzawa if you travel by bus."

"Hotel is okay from a room/cleaniness. Check-in was a problem with both hotels.com and the actual check-in. Hotels.com doesn't handle international travel well as they didn't put in that the room we chose was double occupancy. It's not in our receipt which is telling me that it probably got lost in the email to the hotel. It's in the app but apparently that wasn't relayed to the hotel. When we checked in, the reception said it was for single occupancy although we paid the double rate already...

"Perfect Japanese style room. Definitely recommend for holiday at nearby resorts. But not for anything romantic as it’s a family oriented place. note bathroom and showers are shared and from 5-9pm only. Good for a group or a couple on a quick holiday."
