Lovely hotel with a great feature centred around the Great War. The hotel is modern and well located to explore Ypres. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough.

This 4* hotel is an absolute gem, right in the heart of Ypres. It has a surprisingly spacious car park with level access and spacious, marked bays. Even the smallest rooms in the hotel - the “cosy double” are actually quite roomy and superbly equipped. Most rooms have been renovated in the period 2020 to 2024. There are plenty of power sockets including usb ports and built in night lights. The bedrooms are air conditioned and the bathroom is excellent in every way. The large bar/restaurant offers a very wide selection from finger foods to bar snacks and full meals. The atmosphere in all of the hotel’s public rooms is welcoming and intimate. Many of the corridors and stairs reflect the wartime history of the area, with art and exhibits. Highly recommended when visiting this incredible city which was completely destroyed during WW1 and was rebuilt in its original style.

The best hotel in Ypres

Well appointed with rooms to very good standard. Hotel reception and dining areas also to high standards. Hotel is ideally located within close walking distance to centre of Ypres. Also benefits from a good, enclosed onsite parking area for guests.

A very good experience
This hotel is ideally situated a 4 minute walk from the town centre. Close enough to be very convenient but far enough to be very quiet. On site parking for convenience and a very warm welcome made for a good first impression. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all of the staff were most warm and welcoming.

I had a lovely 3 night stay at the Hotel Ariane. It is on the edge of the historic area with easy parking. Several minute walk to restaurants and ~ 10 minute walk to the Menin Gate. The best part of my stay was the fantastic staff. They went above and beyond to assist me with an issue that I had with my rental car. They even followed up with me the next day to make sure that I had no more issues with the car. I highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Ariane for your Ypres stay!
