This hotel is in a perfect location—just steps away from the Bell and Drum Tower—which made our stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable. I truly wanted to give this hotel an excellent review because overall, our stay was amazing.
However, I cannot overlook the challenges we faced with the staff. This hotel is not ideal for travelers who do not speak Mandarin. I speak Mandarin, so I was able to get some assistance during our stay. Unfortunately, I do not read Chinese, and when I asked for help booking a Didi, I was simply told to go outside and hail a cab. I found this response disappointing, especially given that it was a reasonable request for a guest.
Only after I asked to speak with a manager did the staff decide to assist me. This lack of initial willingness to help left a negative impression. With better guest service—particularly for international travelers—this hotel has the potential to be truly outstanding.
