"There are two Canaan hotels in Xi'an, this one and the Canaan International. I don't know about the other one but this one is located down a back alley and is in dire need of refurbishment. Our aircon wasn't working and I've got a feeling that this applied to all of the rooms. Our room was on the south (sunny) side of the hotel and so was too hot at any time of day or night. You can get better hotels for a few yuan more and should consider hostels if money is the overriding concern."
