There was one male that helped us switch rooms due to being on the ground floor with a little one whilst a wedding was taking place- he was great and very accommodating. Overall lovely looking hotel. Unfortunately service lacked… breakfast in the morning they ran out of butter at 9am for toast and the chef had to cut some. Evening meal… staff again very friendly but unfortunately did not have any knowledge regarding menus or drinks available (not their fault) reception staff - again can’t complain about their service but not a great look when everytime you go to reception there’s a glass patio door and they were outside having a vape or cigarette and only came in when required. This is directly next to the reception area and very visible infront of guests; we felt we were being an inconvenience.

A really comfortable and friendly hotel. The staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable rooms and great breakfast.So much nicer than the big chain hotels.

The hotel from the outside was lovely. The corridors were also neat and clean. The room was, however, in need of refurbishment. The mattress needed changing as we could feel every spring and it creaked like anything. There were cracked tiles in the bathroom and stains around the floor. Breakfast was not good as there was no control due to reception not booking slots for the guests so the poor restaurant team were inundated with people just turning up and they were finding it nigh on impossible to cope. The breakfast (what was there) was over cooked and we couldn't even cut into the black pudding and there was no pastries for most of our time in the restaurant. Bit of advice from someone that has been in hospitality for 30yrs, take time bookings for breakfast. At least then it won't be carnage.

Nice hotel, clearly geared towards weddings. We are in the restaurant on a Saturday night whilst the wedding party was in full flow at the other side of the hotel. The food was really good and they accommodated our dietary requirements without a problem. All told it was a great stop over in our trip around the Chester area, recommended.

The hotel is i a quiet location. All the staff we had contact with were lovely, polite and very helpful. We only had breakfast because we had other plans however, everything was cooked fresh. There was a good variety of fruit yoghurts cereals, breads and cooked food. Sraff were really lovely and helful and restaurant was spotless. Good location for walking or a base for other areas. We had an excellent stay and are happy to return

Location, cleanliness, good size room, lovely staff all but one receptionist who was to lazy to find me an extra pillow to support my broken arm through the night and lied about the availability by saying the hotel was full. On checking out other staff confirmed the hotel wasn't full and a pillow should have been available. Shame on that woman. However everything else was good.
