"Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. "The room was a very small box room in the attic. Had an en-suite. Air con worked when it wanted. Could not open window as it opened over the bed. Breakfast was 8.50€ per person. You were given a small basket with one croissant each,one pain du chocolate each and some very hard bread. Plus the other continental breakfast fare. Did not feel it was worth it. Been in other budget hotels and they were mych better"

"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel is part of a very large restaurant with good food and good service. "This is the second time we have stayed and it was just as remembered. It is a bit quirky but our room perfect for us and the dog plus being immaculately clean. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We will be back."
