"The rooms definitely need to be shampooed at least once a week. Our floor was so sticky our shoes were sticking to the ground. The lamp shades are all busted curtains were stained. Our tub needed to be cleaned with bleach. It should be mandatory that they deep clean with bleach in the bathrooms. The mirrors were all finger printed from previous guest. "Loved the georgian architecture. Staff was friendly, gracious, helpful and kind. We really loved walking around the interior and looking at the stunning wedding venues. You must see Rod's train cars for their private dining options. Lunch at the Red Dog Tavern was delicious, and our waiter Steven gave us great recommendations. "Lovely old hotel which has been updated. By the highway and busy roads but you don't hear the traffic inside. Nice free breakfast 70's is inappropriate and distracting. "This hotel was good ... fine. Clean. Staff was very courteous. Location was convenient. Appreciated that pets are welcome but did not appreciate the unnecessarily high one-time pet fee ($75). Why so high? While I am on the subject of cost, I am perturbed by the fact that hotel rates have skyrocketed since the pandemic while amenities and quality have decreased. Not just at this hotel but all hotels. I like we are all being taken advantage of just to line the profits of hotel corporation...
