This is continently located right off the highway. It’s quiet and felt safe. We stayed in the tents which was the perfect amount of space for the three of us. The walk to the bathhouse wasn’t awful either. The bathhouse was clean, always enough towels. The little porch was wonderful to sit outside in the morning and read. We will definitely be back!
The glamping tent was a nice change from the usual hotel stay. My grandchildren ages 9 & 14 were both happy with the stay too. The only thing that would be better is if there were a pool or some type of activities for them. The only other thing was be prepared to hear everything going on in the tents beside you. Overall it was a clean, well maintained property. We would stay again.
If you are looking for a fun camping experience with plenty of room and electricity but without the hassle of setting up a tent, this is great! It was just like the pictures and descriptions. Comfy and clean accommodations with electricity and cute, safari-themed decor. The tents were fun, but some decorative items were dusty and it could be tricky keeping bugs out.
The detached, communal bathrooms were tidy and stocked with hair dryers, towels, bath mats, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand soap. They were cleaned to sparkling every day and restocked. Definitely recommend for an economical family-fun experience.
We enjoyed our stay in the glamping tents. Staying here was an experience in itself. We were able to grill out, make s’mores over a camp fire, enjoy the playground, and a walk to the lake. The bath house was always clean and stocked with all the necessities…body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and towels. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The only thing I’d suggest to be aware of is the fact that it’s not quiet…a near by helicopter pad, train, and highway traffic made for a noisy night but that is to no fault of the property owners it just comes with the location…which I must add is super convenient to the Ark Encounter which was wonderful!
Very comfortable. Medicopter was right beside us. Could here the interstate, but loved our stay. Fire pit, bath house, playground was great. My only issue was we were unaware there was no office or service desk to check in at. Everything is done on line. We had trouble connecting to the site when we got there. We had to call and get phone assistance to get into our safari tent. Once in it was wonderful! Only 3 minute drive to the Ark Encounter.
The "tents" are great! Everything was clean and comfortable. Somethings weren't stocked in the room - like coffee cups, but otherwise it was perfect. It's a fun place to stay and super convenient to the Ark Encounter.
What a great family spot! We stayed in a safari tent and our kids loved it! Cleanest bathrooms we’ve experienced at a rental. Great atmosphere. Bummed that there wasn’t ice available on the property at all.
The two things I did not like were, first, using the bathroom late at night, and second, the noise of the helicopters; other than that, everything was awesome. Thank you so much.
Nicely decorated, comfortable bed and furniture, very vice porch, suppled very well with Coffee, teas, plates bowels, paper towels, utensils. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked with towels, shampoo, and body wash. Very quiet, playground for kids. Barbecue with propane or charcoal. Area for roasting marshmallows . It was better than perfect.
Safari tents were beautiful, and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The property was beautiful as well. The only things we didn’t enjoy was that the shower house was quite a hike up a hill from the tents. Parking areas were also up the hill so it made it tiresome for us and kids to walk up the hill to the restroom. Parking at the bottom of the hill near the tents would be ideal for guests like myself who have some minor disabilities which make walking distances or hills difficult. The tents during the day were very hot. Our stay was during very hot days, and we expected the tents to be a little warm, just not 95 degrees inside. But once the sun shifted and the tent was in the afternoon shade it cooled off significantly. If you’re planning to come, don’t plan to be in the tent during the day if the temperatures are over 85 degrees. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again, just maybe in cooler temps and perhaps in the handicap tent to be closer to the bathrooms.
