This is an older inner city hotel. It has the charm and grace of the past. It is a bit warn in places but it was quiet comfortable and affordable. The brezkfast is amazing. Real food cooked at their restaurant

Love the 100 year old feel of the hotel. It has been updated, but still has the old feel. Loved that dining and free breakfast were available!! Highly recommend!! Went to an event next door, so loved the close access as I am handicapped!!

The Genetti is a beautiful, old hotel located in the center of town, easy walking to shops and restaurants. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Staff was very friendly.

The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast were great, breakfast buffet was great, many options! You can tell people have smoked in the room, it still smelled like it. The bathroom and room was super small almost to the point of being uncomfortable, surfaces were sticky(which was disturbing after hearing the um, fun, going on in the room next door). While I was checking in, another hotel guests’ dog squatted and peed on the floor right in front of me, and people were almost feral at the breakfast buffet(calm down, it’s just a bagel). I’m basing this review on the property itself, not the rude guests. Positives: staff, breakfast, area around has nice restaurants and entertainment Negatives: small rooms, cleanliness, noise level

This is the grand lady of hotels in the area in Williamsport. The decor fits its image, a little dated but clean and comfortable. We had a king suite, which consisted of a living room and a separate bedroom. A good deal for the price. The room had a slight odor that I couldn’t identify but it disappeared when we opened the window. My wife ultimately decided it was odor from cleaning products that we smelled. The free breakfast had variety and was the best breakfast buffet that we have experienced in years. The bar was busy and had outdoor patio seating where we sat on a warm afternoon drinking and people watching. Numerous restaurants within the 2-3 blocks surrounding the hotel. The hotel is also a wedding venue. We will return!

Love the friendly staff and comfortable rooms and the best breakfast in their restaurant. My husband left a very special bag in the room and we could not go back. The hotel sent it to our home with no charge to us. A great place to stay

The photos on the website have obviously been taken after a recent renovation many years ago and does not accurately represent the condition of the property today. Although the staff was very nice and polite, it took me three days of requests and finally reaching out to the housekeeping manager directly, just to get fresh towels. I loved the hotel and the staff. I definitely will be returning. I did not like my room location. It was next to the door to the balcony and it slammed loud everytime someone went through it.

There is nothing special or intriguing about this place. After staying, there were zero reasons why I would ever recommend or want to stay here again. I am sure there is a a cheaper place to stay down the road- don’t waste your money.

Overall the hotel was pretty nice. I accidentally booked an accessible room. The wallpaper was peeling off the one wall and the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were coming loose. The room was clean. The room needs some attention with fresh wallpaper and ceiling tiles. The hot breakfast was delicious!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Genetti Hotel. The history of the hotel is documented by the many photos of notable guests. Staying in the downtown area made it easy to visit local shops, restaurants, and taverns. We stayed Aug.18-22 to see the Little League World Series and the hotel was ready for visiting guests with the lobby decorated with balloons and signs. Our room was quaint with the historical decor of the hotel’s history. The bed was comfortable. The view was beautiful! The staff and restaurants were excellent! The free breakfast buffet selections were delicious and varied each day. Of course, we tipped the wait staff. The bar in the evening was a great place to wind down after a day full of baseball. Although we had planned to use the pool, we didn’t get a chance to use it. It looked clean and inviting! Parking is truly free! What a luxury! The hallways were showing wear; paint chipped, in need of a thorough cleaning. We were surprised not having any maid service for the days we were there. No one even emptied the trash or vacuumed. That was disappointing. We didn’t think we’d have to ask.
