"The Gull Cottage where we stayed was absolutely excellent! Ruth who owns and runs the cottage was super, welcoming us to the cottage and explaining the facilities. The cottage is very well equipped, super clean, very comfortable, and in a great location just moments from the beach. We hope to return as soon as possible!"

"Well situated on high hilltop great view of lake . Property has gated entrance . Seems like a safe environment. No air con it was quite hot when we were there those accustomed to air con would not be comfortable . those that do not need tempature control would find it a safe clean well situated venue"

"The dog, Reacher, is super friendly. Water is only rain water so must be used sparingly. The little space is great for a short stay but would be cramped for extended periods. Beautiful garden with little pond right on your doorstep, but careful of wasps. "

"Oubaai House is a fabulous holiday base, the photos do not capture the unique nature of this lovely home from home. The reverse level accommodation means that the living areas are flooded with light and there are the most fabulous views from the spacious the deck and pool area. "Deon & Leane were incredible hosts. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and spoiled. The staff was attentive to every detail imaginable, the room was spotless and extremely comfortable and the views are breathtaking. Very sad we only had one night, we are already planning our return trip. "

"Beautifull farm with fantastic views, mountains and sea, sunsets and sunrises. Interesting guests and nice vibe. Lovely outdoor deck where guests can relax and enjoy the views. Room comfortable and nice hot shower, clean. Blinds cannot be openen properly, broken ties. Communal kitchen and lounge area available for guests. Unfortunately, untidy, not clean, utensils, crockery and appliances tacky, some broken and not clean. Poor housekeeping and maintenance of all areas. Outdoor areas not well maintained. Grass too long, slippery areas where a proper path or steps could help, rubbish bin overflowing. Staff have a don't care attitude. "

"The ideal place to stay on the Garden Route as approximately halfway.However more importantly The Trading Place exudes a beautiful calm rustic charm, exemplifed by the host. The most delicious breakfast awaits you at a time of your choce, the bread is homemade. Highly recommended is their preordered pizza in the evening. The host is coincidentally the guide for the river trips, so has exceptional knowledge on the nature of the area. If all this attracts you if you are considering being based in the Wilderness area I would urge you to stay here."
