Overall very good. Walls are very thin, our first night we heard the TV next door very late, then children very early the next day on the other side. But after that it was very quiet. Gym is good. Comfortable bed.

We recently stayed at the Vanderbilt during the week of Christmas, and while we had high hopes for our holiday getaway, our experience was somewhat mixed. Despite booking our stay six months in advance, we were disappointed to find out upon a couple of hours before check-in that the room we had specifically requested was unavailable due to maintenance issues. However, our family was determined to make the most of our time there. The hotel's location is undoubtedly its greatest asset, providing easy access to local attractions and the festive spirit of the season. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was closed for much of our stay due to the holiday. Additionally, we found that the other limited amenities offered by the hotel were not very appealing. While the cleanliness of our room could have been improved, we felt that the hotel does not offer much beyond its well-known name. We truly wished for the original room we booked and had expected a more festive atmosphere in line with the holiday season. Overall, while we managed to enjoy our family time together, our stay at the Vanderbilt did not quite meet our expectations.

We had no heat in our room. If you turned it on, it sounded like there was a motorcycle in the room. This was a birthday and Christmas present for my fiancé. I was so embarrassed by this hotel they refused to do anything to help us. They said there were no other rooms in the hotel, which may have been true. They didn’t offer a portable heater. They said they didn’t have any no extra blankets. No nothing it was freezing. We came from Florida to New York City or Long Island. Excuse me and it was just a nightmare. I cannot believe I chose this hotel based on the reviews. They supposedly had somebody come by to fix the heater and it did get better, but I have a video of it making the same noise again.

The staff was very knowledgeable and professional, I found the front desk to be very welcoming and eager to make sure we were provided with all the information we needed to enjoy our stay… I forget the young lady’s name at the moment but she is the reason that we will return to the Vanderbilt hotel the next time we are in the area.

Darla , at the front desk was awesome . Room was big with paper thin walls and you can hear every bit of noise . The plumbing in the toilet was extremely weak and barely flushed . There was a room with 2 vending machines and a coffee machine . I had to chase a few people to supply cups for the coffee machine. If it sounds like i’m nit picking , i apologize but for $400 for the night i would have expected more. This is Westbury not mid town Manhattan
