"The Colony definitely has a vibe to it. Plenty of activity in the lobby and around the pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. My particular room was awful, as it was located behind the elevator and the bathroom was tiny, with peeling wallpaper and pretty dirty overall. I had asked to get in my room early, so I think this was their way of teaching me not to do so again. Have stayed there in the past and never had an issue with a room. "The hotel was chic and upscale. There wasn’t much lobby space to relax. And the pool had no open chairs most of the time. The restaurant didn’t offer snacks or apps between meals. Location was good. Overall I think this hotel should be priced much lower than it was. "

"This is a beautiful recently renovated property. The staff is excellent across the board. Very friendly and professional. My only issue is that a comment that was made to us (twice) that was snarky was with regards to "booking through a 3rd party" and made us feel like we were low budget when we actually paid the same rate that they listed on their website. We booked through Expedia to be efficient - not to save money."
