"Lovely little property located in a quaint village:) Staff members were super friendly on arrival and the whole check in/out process was smooth. The property has a lot of charm but needs a little tlc. The bathroom is basic and shower not great but the rest of the facilities in the room were good. The bed was a little on the hard side and very squeaky. Overall a good stay and for what we paid we were happy :) thank you x"

"50 stairs separate the loft from street level but the view is great. Nice views from all the windows except the one that opens onto the roof, which you might expect. The apartment isn't for tall people though and above 5'8" might be a little cramped. My wife and i now know how Quasimodo got his hump. That said I would not hold it against the nicely laid out apartment with its exposed 300 year old wood beams. A lovely place to stay right in the heart of the old city and immersed in history. "If I could give 0 stars I would! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Please do not waste your money like we did!! Let’s start with the communication of the “hotel” asked several times for check in details finally got it a couple hours before on text. Then getting there when inside the hallways smelt terrible we then entered the room where it smelt of smoking. The toilet did not flush and was dirty. We reported this and was never rectified (basic human rights) The room was filthy big clumps of hair hanging off...

"Although free parking is available, it is not on site parking, it's a 7 minute walk away. Access into the property is on the first floor (up a flight of stairs because the lift is out of order). The bedroom and bathroom are down a narrow spiral staircase, so I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues. The booklet in the apartment states that complimentary gin and tonic is available, that was not the case. The fridge/freezer was switched off at the wall and the power was in a hidden...

"This was a very nice one bedroom flat that had everything we needed for our stay. Our flat was on the top floor and with heavy luggage it was a bit of a challenge but overall we enjoyed out stay very much and would recommend it to others that want to explore York."

"Cosy YES. Riverside NOT. The title gives the impression that you will have have a riverside view but It felt more like a basement and we had lovely views of the bins! The TV was a nightmare. Degree in technolgy needed. Instructions would have been helpful. Bathroom rough round the edges. Left it cleaner than I found it.... ! "

"Loved staying here, even extended my trip an extra day because I didn't want to leave York or my room. The room was extremely clean and very spacious. The tub and large shower were such a bonus. The bed was very comfortable. There are plenty out USB outlets in case you forget your adapters. The room service was excellent. Dining and drinking at the hotel were exceptionally nice. Staff was wonderful. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip. "
