Very nice place, great lodges, friendly staff, well equipped for children and a great location for seing harzen. But it is expensive. They will charge you 2.5 euro per person per day as an extra energi tax, which is not a part of the pricing on expedia. And a 'kur' tax, whatever that is. Childrens bed and baby chairs are also not included in the price (which I would expect from a 4 star, family friendly establishment). The breakfast is 18 euro per person per day and although it is a decent breakfast, its certsinly not that good. The same goes for the restaurent - decent food, but overprized. There is a fireplace in the lodges, but the wood costs ekstra. And the e-bikes are ridiculous 26 euro per day, so we skipped them (also, you can't get childrens seats for the bikes)

Dejligt ophold i ny og velholdt hytte

Hytten fremstod ny, ren og velholdt. Værelserne var rummelige. En fin lille, privat (men ikke afskærmet) terrasse med møbler og udsigt til bjergene. I stuen var der en opredt madras, hvor man nok normalt ville forvente en sofa.

Lovely place in Harzen

Very nice and very clean houses. The breakfast was nice too. The beds were very hard. Be aware that the spa treatments are not available. When we checked out we got charged for the house one more time even though we already had paid through Hotels.com. The mistake was corrected after we realized we paid twice.

Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum, die Lage genial. Die Sauberkeit in der Küche ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig, sämtliches Geschirr vom Vorgänger war widerlich verdreckt. Erstaunlich, da 70€ für Endreinigung in Rechnung gestellt werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sein Geld ebenfalls nicht ansatzweise wert. Im Schwesternhotel Torfhaus ist es deutlich besser. Die Mitarbeiter sind nicht wirklich freundlich. Eher so neutral. Der Kunde stört.

Fantastisk ophold! God service, flot og lækker hytte, smukke omgivelser, fint legerum inde og legeplads ude, og fin mad. Der er ikke noget at sætte en finger på. Kan klart anbefales.

Een mooi schoon nieuw huis in prachtige omgeving.

Bij aankomst kregen we een boekje met kortingsbonnen waarmee je ook gratis met de bus kon, daar betaal je de toeristenbelasting 2,50 pppd voor. Wij hebben nog de HarzCard voor 4dgn voor 55 euro pp gekocht bij toeristen bureau waar je in vele groten, kabelbanen, musea, zwembaden, mijnen, dierentuinen, ijsbaan, kasteel enzv vrij toegang hebt. Je hoeft hem niet 4dgn achterelkaar te gebruiken. Wij hebben er veel gebruik van gemaakt. Handdoeken en theedoeken inbegrepen maar wil je schonen betaal je 1,5 per wissel. Zowel filterkoffiezet apparaat als senseo. Afwasblokjes en afwasmiddel aanwezig. Lucifers voor de haard meenemen. Heerlijke sauna, snel warm op zelfgekozen temperatuur. Huisje met 2 slaapkamers waarvan 1 met tv (ook beneden een tv), 2x douche incl shampoo en zeep en zowel boven als beneden wc. Geen bank maar wel een heerlijk matras (voor evt 6de gast) met kussens voor de tv. Bij gesloten ramen en deuren geen geluiden van buiten.

well equipped and clean houses with mountain view

Very clean, new and comfortable spatious houses, very well equipped, beautiful view on mountains. Enough interesting things to do in the area for families. Well located on a mountain. Nearby village Schierke on walking distance. Park restaurant offers very good quality meals. We visited the park in August.
