"Fabulous location on the cliff top and wonderful views of the ocean. We weren't in Whale season,but if we had been they would have been in touching distance. Stewart and his wife Will, run a great business, really friendly and engaging and everything is top quality, from towels to bedding and loads of lovely detail. Major highlight were the breakfasts which rank as the best ever. Presentation stunning, food so fresh and always varied. Little gem this one"

"Beautiful property facing the Fynbos and the Ocean at Hermanus. Clear view of the Southern Right whales during whale season located in one of the best spots to see them as well. Steps to the beautiful Cliff Path walk for a morning or afternoon walk and 10 minutes by car to the center of town. Couldn’t be better located in my opinion. "Travelling the Garden Route from PE to Cape Town. Travelling as a couple we wanted accommodation that we make full use of all the facilities, and catch up on our washing. We had a sat nav so the place was easy to find. Lots of things to do nearby if the whales are not about, wine tours. Shark Cage diving. The owner even helped us book the Cape Canopy Tours near Cape Town, excellent value and more scary than shark cage diving. The owner Gill, is a lovely lady and helps you out with anything...

"Loved the property and the staff. Only issue we had was when it rained hard we could hear it constantly in the room on second floor - beyond what I would say is normal for a hotel. It sounded like there was a tin roof instead of a ceiling. The staff and food was incredible and same with overall rooms. Despite the rain issues would stay here again any day."

Fantastic Stay, Great Hotel with Great Views

"The staff was very nice and very helpful. The views of the beach and ocean from the hotel and our room were amazing. Even though it was far away, we could see whales out in the ocean from our balcony! The beach was only a short walk away. The breakfast was great. The common spaces were really nice and comfortable. We stayed at 7 different hotels, all very very nice, in our almost 3 week trip of South Africa, and our room here (the Southern Right Suite) was one of the best. Very large with a cool bathroom. Hermanus is a very nice town with spectacular scenery. "
