"It's a colourful hotel, situated by the river, only about a 10 minutes walk from the city center. We had a generally pleasant stay, we were even able to watch the Euro 24 final on the rooftop bar. We stayed in room 135 on the ground floor with a view towards a back street so not memorable. The room was clean and spatious. The only problem was that the A/C wasn't strong enough, even on the lowest setting the room never got properly cool which made it hard to sleep at times. Also a mini fridge...

"If you crave perfection...this is not your hotel. This is an older hotel in a spectacular location!! We rented a family suite. It had two bedrooms and a living room and slept 4 adults VERY comfortably. It is not a luxury hotel but it was clean and every request me made was met with cheerful compliance. My only complaint is that the shower is very small...think cruise ship small. It is a 1k walk to the train station to Cologne. "

"Hotel basic, but did what it said on the tin. Room was dated, but spacious & clean. Breakfast was very good with numerous choices. We stayed one night before catching our flight the following day. Great location for the airport, bus station 7 min walk, with buses every 30 mins to the airport. Hotel provided a list of ‘restaurants’ for evening meal, but mostly fast food type places or no longer existed. Finally found an Italian, La Fornace which was very good except German bank card or cash...
