The only downside was the noise level at night. when we were settling in to go to sleep you could hear drunk people yelling and screaming around, there are a few bars just a few doors down and it was disruptive. Luckily my daughter and I were exhausted and managed to fall back asleep after the first night, however the following 7 nights we put in our noise cancelling airpods. "Room was small and hard to walk around bed as mattress platform stuck out beyond mattress and you could not walk around it without catching your leg or foot on very sharp corners-very bad design. My husband hit it twice and I hit it. Mattress was uncomfortable and pillows had smell. When we got to room cups in bathroom were dirty and lite was out over vanitory. "Restaurant next door and opposite. Bus stop right outside the apartment hotel. Safe (you require key code) to enter building. Great communication from the hotel staff via email (before check in), any other communication via sms. It is not the quietest hotel as it is close to bus stop, so during day time you will hear frequent bus noises. Still deserves 5 stars. Will stay again. "

"Smelled so bad when we first came in. To say it with very few words, it was the worst experience ever. Definitely not clean, there were stains on the pillows and duvets, and the place did not look like it had been cleaned. The price for the stay was at the lower end - but definitely NOT worth it."

"We can’t recommend the Hotel Royal more. The service was the best we’ve ever experienced in our 30+ years or traveling—and I’m not overstating that. The people were so friendly, caring, and helpful.
