If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. "Terribly disappointing hotel. For a 4-star , among the 5 most expensive, the value for money ratio was terrible. In a 2 bedroom suite, the second bed was a fold out, with a ratty mattress. In one-week stay, sheets and towels were changed once, floors cleaned twice. They could not provide me with a water kettle or early coffee (coffee shop opens at nine).
