My husband and I (both in our 60s) stayed for one night in this Marriott. In the morning I woke up and opened the curtains in the kitchen and living room. A couple hours later my husband and I packed up and left. Before I did, I videotaped the hotel room to show my friend how nice it was. A few hours later I got an email from the hotel saying I had ripped down the curtain in the kitchen and had damaged the wall and I would have to pay for it. Since I had video'd taped the room before I left, it clearly shows the curtain was up. If the curtain fell down after I left it had to be due to it's own wear and tear. I opened the curtain without any undue force. I have sent them numerous emails stating my case. On 10/14 I received a bill for over $500 for this damage. I have called my credit card company to dispute this charge. I have been a good Marriot customer and I am appalled of the harassment of the management of this hotel. The corporate headquarters said they have to take the word of their staff vs their customer
