"We were greated by a lovely host, the room was great we had bunkbeds and a double bed. The kids loved the outside pool and goats/chickens. We had a nice homemade breakfast in the morning. Convenient location for the motorway. "

The hosts were very welcoming, offering us tea in the comfortable sitting room available to their guests. The breakfast spread was copious and varied. The room we were in was spotless, spacious and extremely comfortable. I appreciated the little touches like a coloring book with its color pencils or the plants and flowers in the room. All in all, one of the nicest, best appointed rooms I have ever...

"Location of the property in a forest and its setting is good. The room was spacious and well fitted out - it had been refurbished since we last stayed in it. We were made very welcome. Our only comment would be the menu was a bit limited. "

"Nice town to stop at. The place has obviously seen better days (probably before they built the Autoroute), but for the price it was fine. Clean, friendly with a bar and decent food. Secure parking was a bonus. Obviously if you spend more you will get better but it was just an overnight stop whilst travelling."

"This upscale hotel was fabulous! Aside from a luxurious room, the food at both the Michelin starred restaurant and the bistro was delicious with excellent service. The pool area was quiet and inviting. All in all it was one of the best holiday resorts I have stayed at. "

"Property is easy to find and off the A71 so great for an overnight stopover. Rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Shower was clean and hot water. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful. "

"Well presented room, in a quirky building that was slightly difficult to find as the name board has fallen down at some time and not been put back up. Would consider using again, but might look for options slight closer to the centre of Montlucon. We were only staying for one night on our way south through France. Staff friendly, continental breakfast ok and parking on site."

"This place was wonderful..not at all what we expected but was so much more. Quaint, typically french and full of charm and character. Then there's the food....hard pressed to find such authenticity here in the UK. So glad we found this place. Highly recommended."
