Really excellent property, very modern and great location. I’m taking down a star because I paid extra for panoramic view and instead got an appartement with no view. It might’ve been of equal value but I wasn’t given a choice at the checkin and even when asked I was still given the apartment. Parking on the street was always full, but there is a public lot a block away that was always available and we just parked there all the time. The checkin lady was very helpful and provided a list of restaurants that turned to be very nice.

Great place to stay! Guesthouse has a large fully equipped kitchen plus an outside cooking area. Beautiful garden with views across the water to Pico. Bedroom very comfortable and a good sized bathroom with large shower. Would definately recommend staying here.

Charming place along the coast of São Jorge.
An amazing place to stay! The view of the ocean with pico island is amazing! The owner and housekeeper were both super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They brought fresh eggs, fruits from their property, and home made jams every morning! It was nice to have the communal area to meet people (although not too many people in the off season.) For those curious, laundry service costs EUR 10. But they wash, dry, and fold your laundry. Much cheaper than a hotel.

This was an absolutely lovely property. Victor the host was very welcoming. Deanna checked us in and was awesome! She helped us to find places to eat, interpreted for us getting a cab and was just overall very kind and a joy to be around. Everything was very clean. The views were awesome. The grounds peaceful and very well maintained. We will be back!

We loved it!! The view is priceless, the home is gorgeous and the staff was so kind. We felt at home there and our only request would be an infinity pool in the back yard facing Pico mountain 😉

Great view, very well maintained, beautiful grounds! Rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. Every person in our party was pleased with this place! When checking in, reception is not marked so note it is the 2nd door on left after you come through the gate.

Das Casa d'Avo Guesthouse, nähe der Hafenbucht bietet mehrere Zimmer mit einem Gemeinschaftsraum / Küche und Essbereich sowie Gartennutzung zur Selbstversorgung. Alles an Geschirr/Kochinventar ist vorhanden, der ideale und gute Selbstverpflegerplatz mit familiärer Betreung. Kühlschrank etc. vorh. Obst und Eier der eigenen Hühnerfarm immer frisch.Im Dorf zwei Restaurants sowie kleiner Einkaufsladen. Vom Flughafen auch mit öffentl.Bus zu erreichen. Top Lage !

We had an amazing stay, we felt looked after like we were visiting family. If you go visit Sao Jorge we highly recommend to stay at Casa D'Avo. Lovely coastal walk from just outside the place as well and nice nearby restaurants.

Schön geräumiges Appartment (Zuzahlung), gut ausgestattet, aber Meerblick kaum. Innen etwas feucht, Wäsche wird klamm und es riecht etwas. Einfachere Zimmer haben Terrassentüren und mehr Aussicht, müssen sich aber Küche und Speiseraum (teils außen) teilen. KEIN TRANSFER, 200km, muß extra bei sata Azores gebucht werden. Zwischenübernachtungen sind notwendig, bei mir waren es drei insgesamt wegen Flugausfällen. Es war trotzdem schön und erlebnisreich. Von März bis Mai ist Regenzeit, gelegentlich kurze Schauer, max. einige Stunden. Der Vermieter ist nett, hilft bei Mietwagensuche, stellt Eier, Obst und Kaffeepads zur Verfügung.

Everything was perfect. The place very clean, tenants and housekeepers are the kindest. You can enjoy a breathtaking view on Pico from certain rooms. Everything is made to make you feel at home and it's a success. For my next trip to Sao Jorge I will come here for sure.

Best hotel on the hole trip!
Would 100 % recommend this cozy small hotel! Best hotel on the hole trip. Lovely staff in the calm town Uzelina. The rooms were clean and beautiful and it was easy to take a taxi to Velas. You have access to a kitchen where you can make tea, coffees and eat homemade cookies. Beautiful view from the hotel room over Pico.

Il massimo del relax in un contesto accogliente. Spettacolare la vita sul Pico, proprio di fronte alla finestra. Silenzio e pace. Solo il rumore del mare. Stanza ampia e confortevole. Spazi comuni vasti. Una grande cucina completa di tutto, un patio e un giardino da cui prendere il sole. Il tutto a un prezzo davvero allettante.

La struttura è molto ben curata, la camera pulita e dotata di tutto il necessario. Molto belle anche le parti comuni. La posizione è centrale con vista molto bella sul mare. La colazione non è fornita, c'è uno spazio comune per poter cucinare e tenere le proprie cose comprate.

J'y ai passé 3 nuits et c'est probablement le meilleur établissement que j'ai visité durant mon séjour aux Azores (4 îles visitées) Cet établissement, qui est une maison d'hôte, fournit un excellent petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de produits frais de la région voir du jardin d'Ana, la tenante de maison qui est d'une sympathie exceptionnelle, s'assure que tout est toujours en ordre et d'une aide toujours précieuse en cas de besoin ! Pour les parties communes, la maison dispose d'une très grande cuisine complètement équipée avec une salle à manger, une terrasse avec des tables pour le repas, un jardin et quelques transats, le tout avec une splendide vue sur l'océan et l'île de Pico. La chambre n'est pas immense mais la literie très confortable, une penderie, une salle de bain grande et parfaitement aménagée. Je recommande ce logement sans hésiter vu le prix très abordable et un séjour sans rien à reprocher !
