"Absolutely lovely small hotel directly on Lake Como in Varenna. We loved our small but very well equipped room and bathroom. Loved the “ rain shower”. Nice balcony with beautiful views. Excellent breakfast in a stunning setting. Excellent service, too. "

"Bella Varenna, 2nd floor apartment --entry floor from street dirty, covered in leaves and dirt --elevator floor dirty --no hot water on arrival --no lights in living room/kitchen on arrival --dirty dishes in cupboard --shower drain slow, stood in 2 inches of water --no WIFI info and didn't ever work after repeated phone calls. "wifi no internet" needs new router maybe? --kitchen sink faucet handle very hard to move, needs new cartridge? --information sheets (2 skimpy pages) buried in a binder...
