"We stayed a week at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room and other facilities and breakfast buffet were brilliant. What could improve a longer stay (like ours) is more food options for the evening (more casual dining options too), clearer roles for staff serving in the restaurant (some confusion there), and a heated outside spa pool. "The owner took time to get to know us and what we wanted to do. Gave great recommendations for restaurants, shopping sight seeing. The location is great you can walk to the beach we’re there are two good restaurants or to the boardwalk where you can walk into Lagos along the coast. It’s a twenty minute walk to the old town which is great. Uber taxis are readily available never waited more than 10 minutes and only cost 5euro. Will come back"

"Great location, just a short walk to the beaches! The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the hotel grounds are beautifully maintained. The service staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I did experience some bug bites during the night, which affected my sleep due to the itchiness. However, the management was very responsive and promptly changed all the bedding as soon as I reported the issue."

"I enjoyed my stay here at the Villa Doris. My suite was very clean and very well-maintained. The kitchen was nice with Miele appliances. "The preservation of the original home and its fine architecture, Brazilian wood, and gorgeous hand painted tiles was meticulous and made for a very special stay. We really enjoyed the incredible presentation of our salt crusted sea bass at dinner. The service and food were top notch. We were also delighted with our gracious room upgrade, bottle of champagne upon arrival. Delightful property!"
