Great position just few steps from the main plaça!! The staff was very nice! The room was cleaned but quite cold however it is absolutely fine for few nights. I would recommend it.

We stayed at Pension Universal for one out of the three nights that we reserved before we ended up cutting our stay short to stay in another hotel. I'd first like to say that the staff was very nice and the place was clean. The main issue was the lack of heating in January. It was very cold at night and there was no hot water either. We also had a lot of trouble using the WiFi, only able to get it to work sometimes. There were six different WiFi options and it was hit or miss which one would work. For those who don't mind cold showers or uncontrolled temperatures, this hotel will probably do just fine. That being said, we stayed in another hotel that was just a little bit more expensive (despite making same-day reservations) in Valencia that was temperature controlled, and we stayed in other parts of Spain for the same price and had heating. This didn't affect us, but one other issue was that the hotel was on the third floor and there was no elevator. I had to help one man carry up his bag from the bottom floor to hotel due to the lack of elevator.

Set right in the city centre, this is a great place to stay if on a budget. More suitable to people who do not mind climbing three storeys of stairs. Enchanting, like the city.

Worst Hostel/Private Room Ever
This was the worst hostel or hotel i've ever stayed in, and I've been in some terrible places. It was super hot at night and uncomfortable. The window and fan didn't do enough, it was hotter than the tropics of Thailand mid summer. It was over priced for what it is. I paid $63.26 a night for a private room that should have been half of that at most. It was a rip off. Staff was very nice and friendly though. Great location.

Perfect for budget stays. We stayed 1 night and the heat was stifling in the room - They provide a fan which is great for a hostel, but it doesn't help much in the heat of the summer. Staff are very friendly, great central location, plenty of restaurants close by, and there is a cheap and quick self serve laundromat a short distance away. Overall I'd recommend staying for the cooler weather, but would upgrade during the peak of summer.

Very Good central location
Very central located hosatl, excellent for Valencia nightlife. My only problem was the main light in room didn't work - so the room was very dark. There was a bedside lamp however.
