"Overall 5 stars but I do want to give a few pointers… if you get there after dark know that the parking will be before you reach the actual hotel building. It’s dark so it will be a little challenging for you to recognize. Once you find the parking it will be super easy. "I stayed in this fabulous chocolate hotel in early October when I was walking on the Camino way. After a 10 mile day of walking, it was wonderful to get there and berated with a wine spritzer with chocolate shavings, delicious chocolate bar, and a beautiful hotel. "This 16th century manor house has been lovingly and tastefully restored and one has a sense of stepping back in history. Everything is first class, including the friendly and accommodating service. The location is 10 minutes outside of Ponte de Lima, so a car is recommended. We stayed 3 nights and toured from there, happily returning each time to this beautiful hotel. It was a highlight of our 2 week tour of Portugal."
