"This property is advertized as 4 star hotel, it probably was many many years ago, but this doesn't reflect the status of the property now. Overall very outdated, bathroom in the room was renovated but clearly with cheap materials. When we arrived in the room there was a strong smell of smoke, we left the window open overnight cause we thought it was going to go away, but we realized the smoke was pumped through the ventilation system somehow. The hotel is ok for a one night stay, it's clean...

"The hotel was conveniently located near the Atocha train station in Madrid and was a small 10 minute walk away from El Retiro Park. The hotel staff was amazing and let us check in as early as at 8:00 AM following our international flight arrival since there were rooms available. The room was comfortable and with excellent amenities. Catching a train to Toledo for a day trip from the Atocha train station was only a 15 min walk away. "
