The location is tranquil and free of distractions, a great place to connect with the environment. Upon arrival, you will find information on bushwalks of varying duration in your cabin. Derby Digs lacks character and warmth, painted stark white, decorated with cheap looking prints on the walls and single light bulbs in the fixtures on the high ceilings. "It was so peaceful and I could sleep with the window open and get lovely fresh air (I live on a farm). The beds were clean and comfortable and I actually found that unisex bathrooms can work admirably, even when the Hotel was fully occupied."
