There is good hiking around the town although the info available from the tourist office is quite limited for those speaking English. "My family of 3 loved staying at the Candeo Nagasaki! The rooms were a little small but very efficiently laid out with a fantastic view. The view from the outdoor onsen was beautiful and we used every night. We loved being so close to Chinatown and there were many amazing restaurants within walking distance."

A great stay at Nagasaki

"A relatively new and immaculately clean hotel right next to the train station. Rooms are large and spacious. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Very convenient spot to catch major sights and to do some shopping at the Amu Plaza nearby. Note that there is no public bath or onsen, but that’s not why you would want to stay here. Overall a wonderful stay. "
