Great, calm & lovely place

Great, calm & lovely place. Quite a bit out, from Ubud centre, which was what we were looking out for…cabs & motos will bring you to the centre at low cost & fairly fast… Try to get a room not directly neighbouring the café/common area if you’d like to sleep in.

This is a beautiful, quiet and tranquil boutique hotel located in Ubud. The outlook from the pool and restaurant has a jungle/rain forest type feel making you feel you are miles away from everything. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and compliment the relaxing vibe of the hotel. The food and service by all staff was second to none meaning you ever had to leave. There were also little restaurants and small supermarkets within easy walking distance for any other supplies you may need. Transport is offered to and from the centre of Ubud via a free scheduled service or a pay on demand if outside these times. As usual in Bali a quick walk outside can also get you a passing driver. We would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet relaxing hotel to get away from everything and just simply unwind. They also have an in-house massage/spa facility to make sure you completely rejuvenate during your stay. We highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back for another visit. Completely unrelated to the hotel please be mindful of the money changer just down the road, always make sure you are the last person to count the money as we did to find they had taken some out. They re checked after we had checked meaning we had to re count a second time and found the difference, suddenly they no longer spoke English. Please change your money in town. Again they are not related to the hotel.

Nice staff and nice plants. Breakfast is good. The room, the lobby and the swimming pool area do not look the same as in the pictures, which are way more nice than the reality. I booked the room for the blue colour cushions/decorations, only to find that no blue color is in the room. The room is dark (not enough lighting) with moulds. Cannot see rice field from the swimming pool as indicated in the pictures. Toilet is not good, you have to push 2-3 times and switching between buttons to ensure that the water stops running. The wash basin top has cracks. Door is a bit stuck. Not enough chairs in the swimming pool area and they look dirty. Overall, it has good aspects, but not worth the money.

Serene hideaway in Ubud

Very beautiful 2 bedroom villa amidst lush surroundings, lovely massage area and tucked away sun lounge chairs .Food at the restaurant was well priced and very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but cold have been more informed about tours. Only 1 15-minute walk to central Ubud town.

Calma Ubud was incredible. It is a beautiful property and well hosted and run. It is just outside the city center for peach and quiet but they offer shuttle service. The hostess is always available to support your stay and help with any activities. We had breakfast there as well and it was great with a nice view over the valley behind. I recommend the stay to anybody in the area. Chicago, US Couple.

Perfect for long or short stay conveniently located , minutes away from Ubud center, staff very attentive to your needs, example , i have a problem with gluten, they made sure that i had my gluten free toasts evey morning at breakfast. This boutique resort nestled in the heart of Ubud offers not only a tranquil escape but also a remarkable experience in terms of hospitality and gastronomy. Disappointed and unsatisfied…

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and honestly, we were so disappointed. The air conditioning made a lot of noise and the fridge was flooded inside.. The “outdoor” shower, is really just a regular indoor shower with a small hole in the wall, to a view of your own entrance. However the hole in the wall, resulted in A LOT of mosquitoes, ants, spiders, miscellaneous bugs and even a huge cockroach coming inside of our bathroom. The door to the bathroom couldn’t close properly, so except those animals inside your bedroom. Bathroom had dirty bathroom tiles, dead ants and spiders on the walls and floor. The walkway between the different rooms were absolutely beautiful, but it also felt a bit claustrophobic at times, as everything was so closely packed. What you don’t really realise in the pictures, is that the pool and restaurant are right up against each other, and most of the decorations and accessories aren’t there in real life. There are a lot of new plants covering the view from the pool area, and construction work every day close by. Wifi didn’t work for half of our stay and it really killed our New Year Eve’s plans of ordering food in and having a cozy night with champagne in the room with music and a movie. Friendly staff and overall a fine room. However it is far from a 4 star experience, we have lived in similar rooms for a quarter of the price. Very disappointing overall, can find better places for much cheaper.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön. Sie war recht in Schuss gehalten und auch sauber. Allerdings liegt sie etwas außerhalb. Ein Roller ist empfehlenswert zu mieten. Ruhige Lage. Von allen Hotels wären wir an diesem gerne noch länger geblieben.

The place had a beautiful vibe with nature all around and the staff were very good! Bad - The location on the Expedia site is incorrect and the hotel needs to correct this as it shows it being close to UBUD central when in reality, it's 2 miles away. The pool area from the pic is different now as there is natural growth and other homes/hotels around but still a small rice field at the back.

Questo boutique hotel ci ha rubato il cuore È situato a circa 15 min di auto dal centro e 40 min a piedi che si fanno piacevolmente nel verde delle risaie di Ubud Calma di nome e di fatto! Tutto è concepito per il relax e la piscina vista risaie è unica Arredato con gusto sia le camere che gli spazi comuni Nota di merito al ristorante. La prima colazione super con scelta anche alla carta Noi abbiamo cenato qua sempre perché i cuochi sono davvero bravi,la scelta ampia e il prezzo giusto La spa in mezzo alla natura offre massaggi rilassanti e ben fatti In ultimo ringraziamo tutto il personale sempre disponibile e sorridente Nel Calma abbiamo trovato il nostro posto del cuore a Bali Torneremo sicuramente
