"We loved the optional evening gatherings where we could meet other guests. The house has been made into a home by Richard, our host. He has added such a personal touch through the decor. Richard was exceptional - meeting every need with gracious kindness. Catriona was so efficient and practical providing guests delicious food to start each day. John (owner) and Richard (host) are both held in high regard on the island and beyond. There is a deep level of trust on the island. It is safe to move about alone at all hours. We would definitely stay at Ardoran House again if we were to revisit Iona. "

"Very good system mixing the hotel/homestay experience. Easy check in, breakfast hamper in the bedroom was great. Great shower as well. It would have been perfect if the room was a bit bigger."

"Great hotel next to the small harbour in Scarinish. Hotel very clean with excellent service from the staff (Chris) while having dinner and the barman serving drinks. Only fault found in room curtains were broke and needed fixing. Otherwise very enjoyable stay. Will definitely be back. "

"Fae and Marcos are welcoming and did everything to ensure we got the best from our stay. Our room was large, with a fabulous view, the bathroom very large. All done with antique furniture and art old and new on the walls. The lovely cosy lounge with a warming fire was a great place to relax with a tot of whisky kindly offered by Marcus. You could wander around the garden or walk down to the river. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order. A perfect place to base our holiday."
