Discover the largest municipality in Catalonia, in the Pallars Jussà region in Lleida, with our holidays in Tremp. The municipality extends to the Noguera Ribagorçana river basin and is framed by the Montllobar mountains. It also enjoys the benefits of a Mediterranean climate, making it an unbeatable place in which to enjoy Catalonia's natural environment at any time of the year. The Valle dels Voltors to the north is a good example of this.
The Plaça de la Creu is Tremp's meeting point and the site of its modern town hall. Next to this we find the old Church of Santa Maria de Valldeflors, whose origins date back to the seventeenth century. Inside you can see an interesting Baroque organ. Just a few steps away is the tourist information office, which will provide you with all the help you need.
Check out our offers if you are looking for cheap trips to Tremp. Discover Tremp's old town and the magnificent three towers that remain from the medieval walls. Those interested in the sciences should visit the Museo Comarcal de Ciencias Naturales natural science museum and the Instituto Geológico de Cataluña. If you want to know more about the area, check out Epicenter, the region's interpretation centre.
To the north of the town you can cross the Romanesque Sant Jaume bridge, rebuilt at the beginning of the 18th century. This crosses the deep Adoberies ravine and once led to the convent of Sant Jaume de Pallars. Following this old road, you will come to a small hill that offers a bird's eye view over the Tremp valley. You can also enjoy nature without leaving the village, in the quiet Pinell Park.
