The Tall House is a fantastic place to stay. I cannot fault it at all. Dan and Judy are lovely and make you feel like part of the family. The conversations are great and they are very attentive. The breakfast is amazing, pick what you want the night before and it’s bought to your room at the time you want! Bed was very comfy and the shower had really good pressure. Nice little village where all you can hear is nature. Would definitely stay again.
Our stay was (without exaggeration) absolutely exceptional and faultless! This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in, by far.
Dan and Judith are very friendly and kind and make you feel welcome and at ease in their home, though they are unobtrusive and respectful of your space at all times. Dan and Judith had brilliant recommendations in terms of places to eat and local attractions.
The bedroom and ensuite bathroom are furnished very tastefully and every item in the rooms is of the highest quality and has clearly been chosen with care and attention to detail.
The breakfast was delicious - the ingredients were of the highest quality and the breakfast was beautifully presented (a pretty flower was even placed on a plate with croissants).
Dan and Judith thought of everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible - from the tea and homemade cake we received on arrival to the offer of a thermos of cold milk for late night/ early morning hot drinks.
We are planning another stay at the Tall House (which is rare for us as we usually like to try new accommodation for every trip). We really cannot emphasise enough how exceptional our time was and many thanks indeed to Dan and Judith!
Fabulous room in a fabulous house in a beautiful secluded Devon village. Couldn't have wanted better - spacious room, modern en suite bathroom, very comfortable bed. Hosts Dan and Judy were extremely attentive to a guest's needs - I was collected from the local railway station, and returned into town later, and really made to feel warmly welcomed. I only had need of the one night's stay on this occasion - I hope that I can stay here again on future visits to the area.
