"Nice hotel, great staff, first room was unbearably loud. There was a night club right outside our window that went to 4 am and it was like it was playing in the room even with ear plugs. "The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I had a minor issue in my room and Olivia responded right away and dealt with the issue even though it was later in the evening. Lots of wildlife around! The beach is great for surfing or for strolling around. It is further away from Bocas town and requires a taxi ride charging $20 one way. "

"We are so happy we stayed at Akwaba Lodge. The grounds are well maintained and we had opportunity to walk around and explore. We loved and appreciated the home made meals, breakfast to get us going with fresh homemade bread and jams. Then dinners, with a couple options to choose from, were delicious. We felt like we were part of the family dining there. The room had all we needed and was cleaned daily. We enjoyed some time just sitting at the table outside our room or relaxing in the hammocks....

"This property is a gem! We stayed a week in December and had an all around lovely stay. The bungalows were clean and so relaxing. Everyone on the staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate the guests. We went out several times on excursions with Alejandro and had A experiences. "Overall, we had a lovely stay and greatly enjoyed the beauty of the property. The staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. A little slow in the dining room at times. Would’ve been nice to have a little music or some small entertainment in the evenings.
