"When we arrived, the place was closed, and it seems like it hasn't been a hotel for a long time. It was late afternoon, snowing, with the temperature at -5 degrees Celsius, and we almost ran out of a place to sleep! Our luck was that one person offered us help to find another place to stay. After more than two hours of arguing on the phone, the owner of another hotel agreed to accommodate us. I don't know what they talked about, but I'm glad everything worked out. This place should not be listed...

"No AC (which is fine) and no screens on the windows (which are needed). I slept with bug spray on and still got bitten. Not very clean (mold smell is fairly prominent in halls, broken-down bathroom, but great location for proximity to Sümela Monastery. Fine for one night if not staying long. Wi-Fi didn't work well on laptop, not at all on phones."

"Selim and his family are an excellent host. They have always been very helpful in every aspect. Home made food was amazing. You can go for a walk up to the Plateau and find beautiful scenery. The place is away from city’s hustle and bustle; we loved every aspect of it."

"I would not go back to this hotel again. It is located on a truly good location, but, management has no idea how to take care of the the hotel guests. Room we stayed was so small, Bathroom door was not even closing, no bathroom towels other than just two small hand towels. I asked for towels not only to the receptionist, but, to the Manager as well, no awail."

"The property and staff were excellent. Breakfast was great (and complimentary). I rented a king suite and it had a small kitchen, but I wish there was more provided in the kitchen such as dish soap, a sponge, a knife, more cookware etc. the bathroom was great, there was a washer but no dryer so we weren’t able to do our laundry due to the winter conditions outside. The room had a lake view which was absolutely stunning. It was the best part of the property. Unfortunately because the property is really high up so you’re kind of stranded without a car. We booked a car tour through the hotel to go to Uzungol for one whole day, and the next day we booked a car to take us to and from the forum shopping mall, which was excellent. I’d highly recommend this place to any visitor!"

"When i first arrived I couldn’t complete the payment because their card machine couldn’t accept revolut payments. I am glad my friend was still next to me and made the payment. Another thing that I didn’t like was that my room was by the road… i am a light sleeper and the first two nights I couldn’t sleep from the traffic noises. Other than that I am pleased with the cleaning service and the nice breakfast. "

EXCELLENT HOTEL

"Fantastic hotel across the road from the Black Sea. Hotel is beautiful and clean and staff were extremely friendly – especially the man who carried our bags to our room. Our room was spacious and overlooked the water. Buffet breakfast was fantastic with lots to choose from. Lovely bar area at the front of the hotel. It is not far from the town centre but you will need to get a taxi or a bus to get there or drive. There is a free carparking in the front of the hotel. The only issue was there was a big step up to the bathroom and the shower was not the best. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel."
