If we ever come back to the area, we definitely are staying here. They went above and beyond service. Really cool spot, away from the city but with all the amenities. Close to nature, very safe and clean environment. Luis definitely has the spot to stay!!!

Enjoyed the small town, the shops and restaurants in the small town, the host of the B&B recommended folks/shops and restaurants, as well as gave us accurate information on cenote to visit and other places to see. This was a great place! What really made the stay so remarkable was the hospitality and generosity of Luis - the host. He provided breakfast for us every morning, made recommendations for places to visit, and patiently answered the countless questions we had about Mexico. The room was comfortable - had air conditioning - and a nice place to hang out in front. Would definitely go there again - sad we had to leave after only 3 days.

So close to Chichen Itza

These are cute little bungalows in a beautiful tropical forest setting in a quaint village 15 min from the pyramids at Chechen Itza. The real gem here is Luis, the property owner and host. Luis greeted me with fresh juice and advice about visiting Cheche Itza and surrounding cenotes. He's a kind and gentle man and even broke out his guitar one evening. Breakfast was also a highlight! This is a great option for visiting Chechen Itza.

Luis was an amazing host! He greeted us on arrival with fresh made lemonade and showed us where to park. Gave us plenty of tips for things to do and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable! While our trip was very short, we will be coming back to stay longer and explore more of the area!

Lovely and welcoming!

Luis and his family (including Laika the dog) were warm and welcoming. He has lots of naturalist knowledge. Big breakfast got us ready for our day at Chichen Itza. The bathroom is private but outside the bedroom. Luis demonstrated the proper way to sleep in the provided hammock if we chose to try it. Neighborhood roosters, dogs and loudspeaker announcements will ensure you don’t oversleep!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Luis went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience. He understands hospitality and showed me in so many ways from the communication, the food, the recommendations, the little touches. The property is beautiful, full of fruit trees, very quiet and safe and super close to the pyramid and many beautiful cenotes. For me it was the perfect location to explore. The room was clean, comfortable and simple. It went way beyond my expectations. I hope to return!

Very nice experience

The Host was very friendly and helpful. Prior arrival he Contacted us to make sure if we have any special requests. Upon arrival he personally make sure to welcome us, give us informations about our next stops and even ask us what would we prefer for breakfast next day. He even give us munchies to go. Very friendly, felt like home. It was worth living the experience of staying in a bungalow, I’m the middle of nature.

Breakfast was totally awesome and the host attention was excellent. The place is unique, in a natural garden in a traditional small town. The surroundings are very poor and first impression is not good. The property description is not accurate, i.e. did not mention the bathroom for one room was outside. The furniture is a little run down; the bed is smaller than the size on the description. Overall we had a good experience, that could have been better had our expectations been more realistic because of the property description in the Expedia website.

We stayed in a beautiful room with double and single bed and bath for 2 nights. The room was in a building separate from the owner’s home. Food was amazing. Owner/ host was usually on site to give us soup and homemade in afternoon. Lots of delicious ripe fruit. Reliable internet. Heat pump unit in room for air conditioning that we controlled. Host was boundless source of info about area and customs - he even arranged Chichen Itza guide for us. Restaurant and artisan craft shop recommendations were perfect. Follow his advice and you can’t go wrong. He carried our bags to and from car. When we checked out, he woke up with us at 4:30 am so we could get to airport for our flight- he packed us fruit cups,sandwiches, and coffee for the trip. He even lent me 200 pesos because I did not yet exchange currency- thus saving us a stop We were truly a guest at his home. The accommodations open to a beautiful garden with lots of birds with tables for breakfast and sitting out. The bungalow was less than 15 minute drive to Chichen Itza. My husband and I could not believe our good fortune in finding Mayan Bungalow.

This was the perfect spot for me. Less than a 10 minute drive to Chichen Itzá. The very personable owner made a wonderful breakfast before I departed to see the ruins. He gave fantastic recommendations and sincerely wanted me to enjoy my stay. I spent two nights at the bungalow because I wanted to enjoy an authentic rural experience. I visited several towns in the area and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I actually could’ve spent a third night. If you are traveling with a pet, the bungalow is pet friendly. I brought a 10 pound female dachshund and she thoroughly enjoyed the yard and walking through town. I would definitely return and would recommend. There is a very friendly restaurant within a five minute walk. Several small local shops to buy essentials.

Accueil particulièrement hospitalier de Luis et Claudia (on se sent reçu comme en famille) ! Il y a deux bungalows, dont l'un avec salle de bains dans la chambre. Le petit-déjeuner est juste merveilleux (et pantagruélique), histoire d'avoir des forces avant d'affronter les sites de Chichen Itzá ou Ek Balam.

Très belle expérience

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour chez Luis. Bel accueil, bungalow au milieu d'une végétation luxuriante. La chambre est simple mais confortable. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment incroyable. Luis donne de nombreux conseils sur les endroits à visiter aux alentours. Je recommande vivement cet hébergement.
