The housekeeping employees work hard, they provide high quality care and services, they are dedicated to their job, and they go above and beyond 100 percent. "The hotel is very comfortable and within walking distance of the historical sites. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was helpful with extra pillows and blankets. There are shops and restaurants nearby. Overall this place is a good value."

"Very nice hotel along the waterfront in the very nice town of Porto. Staff was very friendly and even gave us one of his own Ibuprofen when we asked where we could find some. Unfortunately, we were feeling a little under the weather so did not get the full experience we could have. Excellent views from the roof top bar that also served a good selection of snacks and drinks. The waterfront is immediately in front of the hotel and offers a great opportunity to walk or jog for miles along the Duoro River. We would definitely stay here again."

"We needed a hotel for three adult family members with parking for one night, conveniently located near Mérida’s old town, and Hotel Velada met our needs perfectly. Check-in was prompt and smooth, and we were able to add a last-minute breakfast option without any hassle. Extending check-out by an hour was also easy to arrange with a quick phone call. The room, while on the smaller side, was clean and well-prepared to accommodate all our needs. The hotel’s location was a big advantage, within walking distance of a covered public swimming pool as well as the Roman amphitheater and theater. Overall, it was a great choice for our short stay in Mérida."

The breakfast there is extremely packed with all kinds of foods that you will not leave hungry. They prepare just about every breakfast item you can think of.
