"There was hair in the bed, the upholstered chairs were blackened from dirt, and the walls and floor were very dirty. I did not feel comfortable staying there, so I left and found a hotel downtown. I have not been refunded."
"Stayed here multiple times when passing through. Always a very nice place to stay and always a good value, especially with the happy hour meals, breakfast. "

"Ignore all the negative reviews from previous customers! This place was amazing and exactly what I hoped. Very clean! So many interesting things to look at around the main floor. Felt like a Victorian museum. Will stay again for sure. "

"Great hotel in a wonderful location. The hotel was beautiful and nicely decorated. The food room was great with many amenities and very quiet. Walkable to shops and restaurants. Close to the botanical gardens and the zoo. "
"The staff is amazing!! Was there 4 nights and needed a late check out the last day … traveling with my 1 year old grandson and they were so great with us. Recommend things for me to do with him while my daughter was in class.. always greeted with a smile and how are yall this morning! Already booking for the next several times she will need to be there !"
"This is a newly built property so in great condition. We booked a Studio King and the room was huge. It had a sitting area with a large sofa, a huge work space area and a kitchen. Everything is clean and modern. The breakfast had more options than you normally get, 8 toppings for oatmeal, 4 hot entrees, waffles, small quiches, yogurts, and breads.
The front desk was very personable. Convenient location to Homewood and Mountain Brook. "
"I was there for business travel and needed my mom to be able to take care of my baby while I worked. We had adjoining rooms which was perfect. While it is an older hotel they are in the midst of renovations - it’s clean and friendly and the location cannot be beat in terms of putting you right into Mountain Brook village. I’m very glad we stayed here and I look forward to seeing what they do with the renovation."
