"If you're looking for a comfortable bed, clean room and can tolerate a drizzle of a shower (even after they sent someone to fix it), this is a great place to stay. Safe, steps from a beautiful clean beach with chairs and umbrella included, nice and helpful staff. Good restaurant and bar onsite, late breakfast or lunches til 6, lots of options nearby too. "Excellent area. This hotel has everything you need, but will be even better after planned renovations to the room. There is even a barbecue at the pool and seating in shaded areas. There is a delicious Jamaican restaurant and a bakery and coffee shop on site. And Peter’s fruit and vegetable van is parked out front daily. It is a short walk to a public beach where lounge chairs and umbrellas can be rented. "

"The view was beautiful, a peaceful place; the staff was friendly and courteous. It's not hot on this side; it's very breezy. The internet was not good for using the TV, and the stove sometimes wouldn't turn on. The reception guy came a few times to help us. Those two things could be improved."

"The staff were amazing. Gregory fixed my problems and allowed me to enjoy my vacation. The woman at the front desk, w/glasses, is just the kindess person i have met in a long time. Janelle in the elevator, put a smile on my face. The person who cleaned my room daily, thank you. My bartenders, you guus are the best. Tyrell, i got u when i get back. "We loved our stay at Sugar Bay. The staff are wonderful and the location is beautiful. The food is some of the best quality we’ve had at an all inclusive. There is a slightly more limited choice for food compared to some of the bigger hotels, but it is varied enough (with themes some nights to break it up) to ensure you don’t get fed up. There is a great beach side bar, with a great choice of cocktails and a beer/wine/brut when you want something less sweet. The cocktails are good quality, but understandably not quite city cocktail bar standard. However, certainly good quality for an all inclusive, and always served quick. The bar staff were fantastic too. The staff around the hotel, especially Kimberly and Shamara who were seen cleaning around the ground floor, always greeted you with a smile and conversation. The rooms were nice, but without many frills, and some slight cosmetic damages - but with the beach as beautiful as it was you didn’t want to spend any time in there anyway! "

"South Point Hotel in Barbados is a hidden gem on the south coast with excellent service and delicious food. We had a fantastic and comfortable stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional.The beds were soooo comfortable! It is highly likely that we will be visiting again before the year is out!"
