We stayed at Cotswold Cottage 2 nights as a hub for driving around the Coromandel Peninsula and, for that purpose, the location was great. The house is situated at the top of a knoll so the view is really nice. The street below isn't busy and borders a creek so it's not only quiet but actually pleasant to go for a walk along as we did one evening.
There are three units attached to the back of the house that are rented out. Each room has its own entrance out onto a shared deck that connects to the sitting room of the main house which enters into the dinning area where breakfast is served.
Breakfast consisted of two courses: (1) self served granola, yogurt, fruit, toast, and juices; and (2) a cooked meal of which they gave two options. The tables were well set and they also prepared fresh coffee upon your arrival. After breakfast the hosts will get out a map of the area and walk you through things to do that day. They are very friendly and welcoming. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and the experience was so nice that we plan to stay at more in the future.
