This property is very run down. But for one night it was acceptable. Clean bed and a shower which was adequate

The check in staff were the best thing about this hotel. The room was very old and dusty. The shower did not work. There was no soap. The water came up thru the floor when you used the sink. The breakfast was good.

Guess when you don’t have to pay for accommodation under Expedite’s rewards, the reception is not pleasant. On first stay, we were allocated a room facing the car park and road. It was noisy throughout the night. The room allocated to us was so shabby. No toiletries were given only a bottle of soap. Then we requested for a room away from the road as we will be staying for another night after back from Sipadan, the guy at the reception said he will try but the lady rebuked him. When we were back to stay another night, we were told that all rooms were full until the reception suggested that we paid a small sum. As it was a really small sum, we’re were allocated a room so so much better in condition with all toiletries provided for. However, the shower room were not cleaned properly in both our stays. The breakfast timing were from 7 to 10 am. The food provided were all cold even at 7 am. The second time we had breakfast at 8.15am, the food were all finished, with a few pieces of sausages, beans and a few slices of bread. We set there a while and no food was replenished, we walked out and had KFC nearby. Only good point is that it is near the UTC, a market place where you can find dried seafood, titbits etc. The prices were way cheaper than Singapore’s prices. The vendors will packed the stuff in boxes when requested and most of them are friendly.

Can have a bit of renovation.

The hotel is a bit old. You can tell that my room was a double twins and change to a queen bed room because on my bed head. There are light switches and power sockets below them. The water pressure in the shower not that strong and the shower soap holder almost fall off the wall.

Be aware of glass wall & glass door for bathroom

All good except the toilet with glass wall & glass door for bathroom & WC with curtain to divide from the room area are not practical & inconvenience to many tenants, even spouse.

Room really dirty, dusty, dirt, bed unclean ( skin ichy ), no shampoo, grey towel, lose door lock... Very naive reception girl with makeup who can’t handle room check-in at all, she can’t even recognize Expedia booking ( which we all speechless). Bad air.... air conditioner seems difficult to produce cool air. It is mostly unexpected to room like this, which even Semporna’s hotel room comes up more clean and normal. We’d spend a scary night. Thank you for the experience. I will try not need to come again.

Ok price for simple/old accomodation

Stayed there for a night. Hotel is quite dated with some 'old' smell and worn out interior. Staff was friendly and helpful and hotel is centrally located with some public parking space around the building. Definitely, don't go there for the breakfast - very lame. There are 1-2 nice coffee shops within walking distance. Pricewise I think you get what you pay... Rather cheap price but also rather simple accomodation.

Not so comfortable stay.

Overall room cleanliness is alright, but the room has unpleasant sewerage odour from toilet. Luckily it only happens during i was about to check out the next door morning

1) I was surprised when I arrive that my room is still ready (approx. 3pm) 2) upon checking into the room, there is no tower, toilet rolls and on a set of toothbrush (as I had mentioned in my booking there will 3 persons and that's the reason I booked a family room) 3) worst of all the liquid soap in the dispenser inside the bathroom, I think there have not change it for ages and it looks expired with stain inside. 4) the only good about this hotel is the location of the hotel. 5) surrounded with lots of local foods. 6) hope my next visit to Tawau, all the above comments will improve and upgrade.
