Kanta-Häme

Along the banks of the Vanajavesi, you can see the massive red brick Häme Castle, as well as the lively city of the same name, where you will find both military history and medieval stone churches.

The town of Forssa, sitting astride a river in the province of Häme, makes an interesting travel destination, with its lovely red-brick factory milieu and museums illuminating the daily lives of its workers.

Riihimäki has the best transport links in Tavastia Proper, and is known for its railway, glass industry and varied museums.
