"Oh dear what have we booked into soon turned into wow! this is great. Reception very efficient and helpful. Apartment well equipped. Beach not as busy as further east and just 5 mins away. PLEASE NOTE if you are driving from the east on the gc1 you need to take the Tauro exit and then follow the coast road. The same applies if coming from the Mogan direction as the coast road is closed . You can get on the gc1 at Taurito but not off it. Hope this helps."

"Loverly hotel. Great pool view. Family friendly. Bed room a little small but kitchen area good. There is an epic flight of steps up the hill to get to Yumbo. Would be happy to stay there again. "

"Excellent value for money. Greeted by a lovely receptionist on our first day and there is a very nice and quiet pool area. The hotel is in a fantastic location, and although it is a little worn it’s fantastic for the price."

"Apartment was very spacious and really enjoyed having our own pool. Beach club was lovely, shame we couldn’t have access anytime. Could do with a more family friendly restaurant on site as nothing near by. The restaurant that was open was great, food and service was wonderful, but on the pricey side, nice for a treat, nothing for everyday dining available. We had hired a car so could go elsewhere, otherwise you would need taxis. Small issue in wardrobes, no full length hanging space for dresses!...

"Overall a really nice stay. Hotel was clean, staff all friendly and welcoming. The vibe pool bar was very good for food, drinks in the day etc. It's on a hill so is steep to walk back to, but not that bad. Plenty of older couples were managing it fine. Supermarket over the road very handy if self catering or B&B. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and taxi rank which was handy and cheap. Would recommend "

"On arrival to the complex I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice and clean and staff were very accommodating. We went to our one bedroom duplex to check out our accommodation for the week, again we were pleasantly surprised. It was very nice, clean and had everything you would need for the week. The pool area was kept clean with 2 lifeguards throughout the day. The pool was never busy nor the area around so plenty of sun beds. "We had a lovely stay at the apartments. Everything was great. Apartments themselves were great, we had paid bit more for the one with aircon. Just to be aware there are lots of stairs to get to rooms. Lift everywhere so you can always get to it but it takes time so we mostly walked as we didn’t mind that. We had a half board and food was great, sometimes the freshly cooked meat was bit tasteless but there was always lots of other choice. Outdoor snack bar had pretty good choice of food, pizza...

"2nd visit just love how most things are catered for, your own sunbeds some front and back so no getging up eadly to put your towel on. Very quiet peaceful even with children around very relaxed. Ideal location for beach transport bars ect. Very clean indeed. Will be back."

"We stayed for 3 nights and satti was there to welcome us when we arrived she was absolutely amazing couldn’t of done more for us. The place was really clean, we love going to Puerto Rico and we would definitely be booking at calypso again! :) "

"We were on half board basis and we made a huge mistake because food was terrible. We had only 1 breakfast and 1 dinner and all other days we had to eat somewhere else. The lift wasn't working on our first day.It seems the lift is always the problem there. Apartments has a lot of stairs which is a big problem especially when your apartments are at the top of hill.The young lady at the reception wasn't nice with us at all.She actually was very rude with us and she didn't want to listen about any...

I may need to install that at home! the beach shuttle and walk was great, and how wonderful to have free food and drinks on the beach! "After reading all reviews I was apprehensive about the hotel but I don't regret booking here. Room was huge, great view, staff were soooo friendly and amazing. Great variety of food and some of them were amazing, other ones could improve. Sangria was excellent. Only negative thing was the Cocktails that can be better. Activities every night for kids and adults. Pool was great although the big one with the slides was with sea water, my kids didnt like that."

"The hotel room was spacious and clean. The staff were always accommodating and friendly, often greeting us as we entered and left. The pool and gym facilities were great. We booked a breakfast included package and the meals were always nice. It's located very close to the busiest area of Maspalomas so not suitable if you want a quiet holiday but for us it was perfect. "
