"Stayed here for 2 nights. Easy to locate as it is just out of the train station in the left. Left luggage services was self-serviced with staff on standby to help. Great location if you’re intending to use Kagoshima as a base for day trips. There’s a discount ticket for parking too. Rooms are clean, and the staff speaks decent English language. "We were on the 10th floor looking toward Sakarajima Island. Wonderful view watching the ferrys come and go. Great breakfast and lunch buffet. Also, a high end Japanese restaurant. Lots of izakayas in walking distance. Ferry to the island is a 2000 yen cab ride. Comfortable beds spacious room."

"Toyoko Inn is conveniently located close to Kagoshimachuo Station - a major transportation and business center, therefore close to shopping and restaurants. The large Toyoko Inn sign on a building is a little misleading, as the Inn itself is next door, closer to the station. "The staff speaks good english. Very easy communication. They provide bath salt at the lobby for a bathtub soak, which is very nice. Parking is the only issue. They have a partnership with a carpark nearby. But there are 2 carpark with the same name- Maruya 1 and Maruya 2. Unfortunately, i parked at the wrong one, and couldn't get the discounted rate. If driving, there are hotels with more convenient parking. But if travelling by train, this hotel is perfect. "

"Room size is decent, I was able to lay my luggage out fully. Room is very clean, the bath needs a bit of extra cleaning. Very good price for solo travellers who needs their own space.
