Conch villa is a special place, with only 2 rooms (it is actually a "just" a Villa - We got the upstairs room). The room we had was big and bright, good climate inside, and the staff (both day time and night time) was nice and helpful. There is minor room for improvements though - The bed frame made creaking noises on our every move, and there was no desk space to sit by with a laptop for example, even though the room would easily allow for a desk or a reading corner. Apart from that, the only "lack" was proper shielding of the windows at night/early morning - A lot of light came through, which was slightly annoying.
Like many other places in Sri Lanka, Internet and water pressure was also limited. Lastly, the area in which the Villa is, doesn't have a lot to offer - 3-4 restaurants nearby, but without a doubt not in the main tourist area.
For the price and in Tangalle, this is a nice place to stay for sure!
