Our accommodations, the food, and temple grounds were truly wonderful. But most of all, I would like to express gratitude to Nori who we were fortunate enough to be paired with for the many offerings the as part of the stay. "Simply put - the two cave onsen at this hotel are fantastic. And indeed, there are several other onsen pools to choose from too. I was lucky to go when the sea was quite rough, and sitting at the front of the cave onsen, soaking in the hot spring while watching the waves breaking on the rocks outside was a really soul satisfying experience. The hotel itself is like a wild bubble-era project and is simply huge with plenty to explore. It was hard to take it all in - I was really absorbed just wandering around. The (seemingly) endless escalator ride up to the adjoining hotel block was a bit unique to try too. There is a helpful mini-bus and turtle themed ferry to and from the town centre ( only 10 minutes walk from station to ferry / bus) and it runs frequently. Can’t say there there were many dining options within the hotel itself, the breakfast and evening buffet are just fine plus two extra small cafe style casual restaurants on-site. No bar or coffee shop ( but you can sit in and eat snacks / coffee at the on-site Lawsons convenience store. Nothing gourmet - come for the onsen, not for dining. (though some decent small dining places in town if you wish to hop over on the ferry and back) The room was huge with a nice sea view in our case. Futon style sleeping was comfortable. Everything clean and working. All in all - lovely! I and my wife had a very memorable break here."

"Semi-Japanese Ryokan style. Absolutely no shoes inside property. Very nice hot spring spas. Especially look out spa was great! Fantastic idea to have the Spa clothes for both men and women, so family can get together to see the ocean to soak in the outside hot spring spa. Love the experience. Only suggestions were to bring more "resort" atmosphere by hide sprinkler hose and water during night or early morning, so the guests can see only the grasses. also picking up garbage by the shore (where we can see from the outside spa). "

"My family had a truly amazing stay here. One of the best experiences of our trip through Japan. The temple and surrounding area is beautiful. The staff spoke excellent English and the vegetarian food was great. Get up for the morning prayers if you can. "

"The experience was what we expected. Very Japanese, quiet with beautiful gardens. They changed our booking from a room for 6 to three rooms for 2 each and had a nice garden view. The dinner was surprisingly very good with all vegetable dishes but quite diverse texture and taste. We enjoyed our stay. "
