"Breakfast was impressive, gym and pool were great, staff are very friendly. I forgot my phone adapter so the hotel loaned me one then the concierge drove me to the store so I could buy one. That is going above and beyond my expectations! "

"Good locations. Great service especially the security team who help us parked the car as carpark spot was limited. They provide kind a valet services without extra charge. I would be perfect if the staff can provide 2 swipe cards per room instead 1. It’s bit hassle to move around the hotel especially with other family member were in different level."

"Good Hotel with great staff. Mr Eddie & Miss Ika and the rest of the staff were most helpful. The rooms were clean & comfortable. Breakfast was included & had a good choice of foods. Location was good, with many eateries colse by and 500m walk to the nearest Mall. Will stay at Ibis styles again & highly recommend this hotel."

"the checkin was super easy and smooth.. front desk clerk came and opened the door upon arrival, big smile on his face and from then on i had a new friend in Makassar.. any questions i just asked him and not only did he answer them but would tell me better way or place than what i was thinking.. the food in the restaurant as well as the service was perfect.Coto Makassar huge sreving and just ENAK.. "This is such an old building. The strong stench in the hallway of mold and cigarettes. Furniture in rooms is so old, window curtains are stained and the beds are very uncomfortable. The dining hall has dated and dirty furniture. "

"It rained a bit, which is to be expected in this area, but nothing that was too much of a bother. One small complaint I have that actually just occurred to me is that the local mosque, of which there is one on every corner in this part of the world, started prayers at a high volume at 4am today...I'm all for religious freedom however, 4am, and no way to get away from it, that's a little much. I don't know what the solution is, however, there should be room for some consideration."

This hotel is NOT in Makassar as advertised

"DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE Hotels.com have this advertised at the wrong location- it is not in Makassar it is in Barru which is about 2 hours north of Makassar. I arrived in Makassar and the taxi driver drove to the address and spot where Hotels.com had on the location map and it was not there. Local people said it is an error and not here so I had to pay for another place to stay in Makassar. I have tried to contact Hoels.com but it is very difficult as no phone number. I would like my money back and an apology and compensation for the new place I had to find. It was not easy as I do not speak the language and I was a female on my own."
