Amazing hotel near to two or three subway stations, convenience stores, hidden and choice cafes and bars and character filled quiet neighborhood. Excellent base for exploring other parts of city and super close to wonderful Ueno Park and museums for nice strolls and culture. Highly recommend for your Tokyo home base as your adventures will take you to more frenetic places but rest assured when you retire to your comfortable Monday Apart hotel you will feel cocooned in peace and tranquility. A brilliant stay. Well managed, clean and convenient in every way. Enough space when traveling with teens and they need their own beds.

The one bedroom suite was clean but the extra beds were thin and poor quality for teen boys. The towels, bedding and especially the pillows were below average- thin/ cheap. When I asked for more pillows they did not have enough. Check out at 10:00 am also not up to the standard of most hotels. The front desk staff was nice but had no knowledge or recommendations for restaurants etc. If you are looking for a basic stay it’s fine and clean & a good location.

"It was a great place. Rather small and the beds are pretty firm. And when outside you’re in the center of everything if you’re trying to drink. If not I would keep looking. But was a pretty nice stay. We didn’t try the food due to early morning travels but Godzilla being there was awesome"
