We stayed here for the Setouchi Art Festival, the hotel turned out to be located much further away from the ferry port than we though. And in an industrial area of town. That was our mistake. There are a few restaurants nearby, a Seven Eleven, but don’t expect charm.
Pros: The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Our room had a configuration we hadn’t seen before, with a table and two chairs, a first for us in our travels in Japan, and quite welcome.
Con: the mattress was extremely hard, you could have played ping pong on it!
The breakfast was awful. I don’t know for a fact, but I think the scrambled eggs were made from powdered eggs. The rest of the buffet was up to the level of the eggs.
